The three-day events will serve as a platform to strengthen the quality of local services, and will allow industry professionals to network and learn about the latest trends in the sector, said Luu Meng, CTF’s president, during a press conference yesterday.

The events, both now in the sixth edition, are expected to draw more than 8,000 visitors, Mr Meng said.

“New tourism products, new ideas and new skills and experiences will be shared and showcased during the expo and conference in September this year,” Mr Meng said.

“The quality of hotels and restaurants is growing every day. This expo will help us to keep improving, giving us ideas and inspiring us to innovate and improve our products,” Mr Meng said.

Andrew Siow, director of AMB Tarsus Event Group, the event organizer, said that, in previous editions, the expos have attracted more than 350 companies and brands from 30 countries.

He said this year’s editions will boast pavilions for China, France, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, and the US.

“It is a one-stop-centre for the hospitality and F&B industries to source for new ideas, equipment and supplies and see the latest trends,” he said.

“This year’s main highlight will be Camcafe ’18. This is the ideal place to source for efficient hospitality solutions, gain insight into innovative developments and build business partnerships with the many manufacturers looking for agents in Cambodia,” Mr Siow said.

He said the expos will feature a number of culinary and hospitality competitions organized by CTF, including a bed-making and a floral display competition, as well as contests to determine the country’s best sommelier, barista and bartender.

Camfood ’18 and Camhotel ’18 will be held in Phnom Penh’s Diamond Island Convention Centre on September 19-21.
