Eight leading budget airlines from Southeast Asia, South Korea and Australia announced Monday an alliance that will enable customers to book connections using a shared platform.
The new Pan-Asian partnership is hailed as the world’s biggest LCC alliance.
The Value Alliance, as the newly-formed group is known, is composed of Cebu Pacific, Jeju Air, Nok Air, NokScoot, Scoot, Tigerair Singapore, Tigerair Australia and Vanilla Air. Together, they cover a third of the earth and serve more than 160 destinations with a collective fleet of 176 aircraft.
“Customers will be able to view, select and book the best-available airfares on flights from any of the airlines in a single transaction, directly from each partner website,” said a statement published by the alliance.
