Maybank Cambodia has emerged proud winners of two awards, the Outstanding Consumer Marketing Campaign Bank and Outstanding Innovative Product & Service Bank at the recently held 8th Cambodia Banking & Microfinance Award on 24 June 2016, organized by IDG ASEAN.

The winners of the Awards were selected by a Board of Judges consisting of representatives from Government Agencies, Ministries, Associations and Experts in the fields of finance and technology.

The Outstanding Consumer Marketing Campaign Bank Award was in recognition of Maybank’s marketing campaigns rolled out for its Maybank Visa Debit Card and Maybank Premier Wealth, both of which were launched in Cambodia in 2015. The Outstanding Innovative Product & Service Bank Award recognizes the Bank’s two latest innovative products, i.e. the Maybank Visa Debit Picture Card and Maybank Mobile Banking.

“We are honoured to receive these two awards. These accolades are external validations of our achievements and a booster for the Bank and our team of over 360 Maybankers here in Cambodia,” said Cynthia Liaw, CEO of Maybank Cambodia.

Maybank Cambodia had earlier bagged the Leadership in Innovation Award by VISA International, recognizing its innovation with the Visa Debit Picture Card and card usage program through its “TREATS Spend & Redeem” and “TREATS Rewards” program.

The Maybank Visa Debit Picture Card was a first in Cambodia, an innovation where bank customers are given a choice to use personal photographs for Debit Card customisation. Maybank also introduced its Mobile Banking App in Cambodia – also the first bank in the Kingdom to offer an App with Augmented Reality and QR Code Reader.

Cynthia said that the introduction of these innovative products and services, as well as marketing campaigns, are just one of the many plans within the retail banking segment for Cambodia.

“These awards are an affirmation of our relentless commitment to offer innovative products and services as well as campaigns that will meet the evolving needs of our customers and enhance our value proposition. It recognises that we are on the right track in our efforts towards achieving our aspiration to be the leading foreign retail bank in Cambodia.”
