CEO Lunch – Minimum Wage Law

09/12/2016 @ 11:30 am - 2:00 pm

$35

Minimum wages in Cambodia have only been applicable to the garment, footwear and textile sector – yet have been an important indicator of wage levels to other sectors. In September 2016, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MoLVT), through the Labour Advisory Committee (LAC) negotiations and voting procedure, officially announced the new MW which will come into force in January 2017 – set at $153 per month, excluding mandatory allowances.

The MoLVT has also recently announced the development and implementation of a new Minimum Wage Law. The new Minimum Wage Law is aimed to formalize and bring into law, the procedures and processes of Minimum Wage Negotiations, in all sectors.

With recent pressure to consider national minimum wages and minimum wages in other industrial sectors, as well as the development of the Minimum Wage Law, CAMFEBA is pleased to invite all Senior Management Private Sector Representatives to engage in providing inputs into the structure and development of the new Minimum Wage Law and learn about its possible implications.

Join us at this important private sector dialogue. We need the engagement of all sectors.

Speakers and panelists include CAMFEBA President Van Sou Ieng, HR INC ( Cambodia) Co., Ltd. Founder & Managing Director Sandra D’Amico, and Labour Advisory Committee Vice-chairman Dr. Nang Sothy.
