He started his career in London with Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank and has worked at leading global law firms in London, Australia and Japan on a wide spectrum of banking and finance matters including lending, debt capital markets, structured finance, repackaging, OTC derivatives, trade finance, asset finance, securitizations and regulatory/compliance matters. Patrick has advised leading multinational corporations and global financial organizations and governments and is widely recognized as an expert in his field. Admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria as a Barrister and Solicitor, he holds an LL.B and BA (Hons.) from Monash University. Kanika Tan, Senior Associate, Head of Tourism and NGO Practice Groups Kanika has earned a Masters degree (LLM) in Business Law from UCLA School of Law in California, USA. Her practice areas include corporate and commercial, intellectual property, tourism, corporate finance, foreign direct investment, joint venture and M&A. Kanika speaks English and Khmer. Porchhay Phoung, Legal Advisor, Head of Real Estate & Construction Practice Group Porchhay has more than ten years experience of advising in relation to real estate and construction. He has advised global real estate developers, construction companies and foreign investors on their investments and projects in Cambodia. His areas of practice are real estate acquisition, lease, concession, and hypothec registration, due diligence, construction contracts, and other related commercial transactions. He obtained a Master of Commercial Laws from University of Melbourne in 2015. Porchhay speaks English and Khmer. Sophal Yun, Associate, Head of Labor Practice Group Sophal has knowledge of Cambodian law, practice and custom, specializing in labor law issues and labor dispute resolution, legal research, analysis, evidence examination and arbitral award drafting. Sophal earned Bachelors of Law in dual language-based programs in Law and Economics and a Masters Degree in Law from Transnational Law and Business University, South Korea.
