Hong Kong-based corporate services provider Acclime has acquired Phnom Penh firm BSE Accounting Co Ltd. and has rebranded it as Acclime Cambodia.
In local media reports in Cambodia last week it was confirmed the HK regional consulting and advisory firm acquired the Cambodian firm. The acquisition means Acclime is now operating in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand. Vietnam, and the Kingdom of Cambodia.
BSE had been serving a wide variety of local and international clients from diverse industries including hotels and restaurants, import and export, manufacturing and retail said a report in the Phnom Penh Post. The confirmation of the rebrand is visible on the new Acclime Cambodia website.
BSE managing director San Rithy said: “We are excited to be part of a regional network and look forward to be integrated under the Acclime brand. Not only can our team get access to the expertise and resources of a well-established regional network, it will also benefit our clients who desire the same high standard of professional services in other Asian markets.”
Acclime Cambodia also prides itself on offering a paperless service and say on their new website “We embrace technology to deliver an effortless and less paper-driven service.”
Acclime co-founder and CEO Martin Crawford said of the companies move into Cambodia, “The country has an open foreign investment policy and with the introduction of new investment laws, it will certainly attract more foreign direct investment.”
Acclime Cambodia will continue to offer services such as business management, market-entry advice, human resources, tax planning, accounting and outsourced bookkeeping and payroll.
Hugh Darwell, director of business development, told the Khmer Times: “We will be one of the top corporate services providers in Cambodia with a mission to take care of the myriad of administrative tasks under Cambodian law for our clients, allowing them to focus on growing their business. We will also be providing market entry advice, which is vital for new companies entering an exciting emerging market such as Cambodia.”
The Cambodian offices have around 50 staff while Acclime has 300 international staff.
