The ANGKOR 500 Globalization Accelerator Programme entry deadline is June 12 2021 and is aimed at new technology startups that are preparing to launch in the South Asian market.

Angkor 500 is a venture formed late in 2020 by Khmer Enterprise (supported by the Ministry of Finance Cambodia), and San Francisco based global capital venture firm, 500 Startups. Under the two-year partnership, the enterprise aims to support Cambodian entrepreneurs.

The five-week ANGKOR 500 Globalization Accelerator Programme will allow the successful applicants to benefit from the expertise of 500 Startups, as well and providing opportunities to connect with tech leaders.

The tech startups can represent a range of business models:

  • B2B
  • B2C
  • B2G
  • C2C
  • B2B2C

The chief executive officer (CEO) of 500 Startups, Christine Tsai, said: “Amidst profound challenges throughout the world, we are grateful to partner with Khmer Enterprise to advance our mission of uplifting economies and people around the world through entrepreneurship.

Cambodia’s economy and talent are at an inflection point for rapid growth, and we are confident that this programme will help local founders to build strong companies that will push the boundaries of what is possible.”

The acceleration programme will help mentor Cambodian startups by supporting their efforts to market to an international audience, offer investment planning, storytelling (pitching), and negotiation.
