CCIFC Gala: Celebrating 70 Years Of Cambodian Independence & Franco-Cambodian Ties
On December 12, 2023, a gala dinner in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Cambodia's Independence and tribute to Franco-Cambodian friendship was held at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, bringing together more than 150 guests.
Held under the theme 'Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Future', the gala dinner featured an exhibition of never-before-seen photographs which depict the close historical and economic ties between France and Cambodia.
The evening began with opening remarks from Jacques Pellet, French Ambassador to Cambodia, and Soreasmey Ke Bin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Cambodia (CCIFC), who both highlighted the importance of continued Franco-Cambodian friendship. H.E. Ok Bung and H.E. Christophe Chheang, both Secretaries of State at the Ministry of Commerce, were also present at the event.
The gala acted as a representation of the strength of Franco-Cambodian ties and also laid the foundation for a promising future for bilateral relations.
