Central Bank To Exchange Old, Torn Riel Notes

The National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) launched yesterday a five-day campaign that invites people to exchange their old, mangled or ripped riel banknotes for crisp new ones at NBC branches throughout the country.
The campaign, dubbed “Loving Riel Banknotes”, marks the first time the bank is exchanging notes for the general public. It coincides with the Pchum Ben holiday, the time when new banknotes are in highest demand.
