Havas Cambodia has announced the appointments of Sarah Louzioui as Managing Director and Lalaine Baldelomar as General Manager (GM) in April 2024.

Havas Cambodia's current CEO, Rastislav Kanuch, has departed the agency for personal reasons - after only being appointed CEO in August 2023 - and Sarah Louzioui will fill the role of Managing Director moving from her current position as General Manager at Havas Champagne, which is an integrated division of Havas Cambodia.

Louzioui made contributions to enhancing meaningful media experiences for clients and stakeholders in her role as GM in Cambodia as well as winning new business for the agency, Havas said. In addition, Lalaine Baldelomar will move from her role as Group Media Director to General Manager as part of the changes.

Baldelomar has worked in the Philippines, Singapore, and Cambodia, and has been part of Havas Cambodia for more than 6 years. In her recent role, she managed client relationships and drove business with effective media strategies. The pair will work with Rana Barua, Group CEO, India, Southeast Asia & North Asia and form part of the leadership team in the Asian region. 

Barua said of the appointments “Both Sarah and Lalaine are strong, dynamic leaders who have demonstrated their ability to drive growth and innovation." She added that with their leadership and the agency's capabilities as an integrated network, she was confident they would lead Havas Cambodia forward. Kanuch’s mandate was to lead Havas Cambodia through a "journey of transformation and exponential growth" when he was appointed in 2023.

On his departure, he commented "It has been a privilege working with the team during an important period of transformation and growth. I am confident under the leadership of Sarah and Lalaine; the agency will continue to thrive, driving growth and achieving success.” Havas Cambodia recently worked with AirAsia Cambodia on their launch in the Kingdom.

Alicja Cybulska, Chief Strategy Officer, Southeast & North Asia at Havas said that three trends to watch in 2024 are:

  1. Rethinking Traditional Advertising - Consumers are turning to social media, particularly platforms like TikTok and Instagram, for more authentic and genuine information.
  2. Impact Of Influencers On Brands- Brands pivoting towards more meaningful and human-centric approaches as opposed to brand-centric approaches.
  3. Cultural Resonance Will Be More Important - Advertisers are shifting their focus towards leveraging culture.
