LCC Alliance To Shake Up Air Travel Market

Eight leading budget airlines from Southeast Asia, South Korea and Australia announced Monday an alliance that will enable customers to book connections using a shared platform.
The new Pan-Asian partnership is hailed as the world's biggest LCC alliance. The Value Alliance, as the newly-formed group is known, is composed of Cebu Pacific, Jeju Air, Nok Air, NokScoot, Scoot, Tigerair Singapore, Tigerair Australia and Vanilla Air. Together, they cover a third of the earth and serve more than 160 destinations with a collective fleet of 176 aircraft. "Customers will be able to view, select and book the best-available airfares on flights from any of the airlines in a single transaction, directly from each partner website," said a statement published by the alliance.
