Local Firms Urged To Join Thai Trade Shows

The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) on Thursday held a conference in Phnom Penh as part of its Asean+6 programme to promote Thai trade shows in Cambodia.
Dubbed ‘Exhibiz road show’, Thursday’s conference sought to increase the number of Cambodian firms attending trade fairs in Thailand. The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau is a public organisation established by the Thai government to promote Thailand as a destination for meetings, conferences and exhibitions.
Kanokporn Damrongkul, director of the exhibition department at TCEB, said the Asean+6 programme aims to bring more exhibitors, businesspeople and buyers from Asean nations to exhibitions in Thailand.
“Our priority is to attract more quality firms from across Asean to our trade shows in Thailand,” she said. The Asean+6 programme launches today. Business associations, chambers of commerce, non-profit organisations and industrial and manufacturing groups can enroll, she said.
“We offer many incentives as well as accommodation during the exhibitions,” Ms. Damrongkul said. “The programme is in line with the government’s goal to make the country a platform in which Asean firms can connect and cooperate.”
She said Cambodian firms will find new and innovative products in Thai trade shows and meet business partners.
