Maybank Cambodia launched today the “Maybank Save Now & Win Big” deposit campaign during an event held at Maybank Tower.

The campaign aims to encourage savings by allowing customers to participate in a draw to win a 1-bedroom apartment in The Garden Residency, a boutique development complex in Phnom Penh hailed as one of the capital’s most affordable condominium projects.

The new campaign is a joint collaboration with JS Land Limited, a property developer from Malaysia in charge of The Garden Residency.

Speaking during the event, Cynthia Liaw, the bank’s CEO in Cambodia, said the deposit campaign, which runs until December 31, is open to new and existing customers who deposit or top up their Savings/ Current Account with Maybank.

“The number of lucky draw entries will be determined by the average balance of the 7 months period between June to December 2016 which must be higher than the average balance in May 2016. Every $500 increase/growth is equivalent to one lucky draw ticket/entry,” Cynthia explained.

Dato’ Jack Yap, Managing Director of JS Land said that they are proud to collaborate with Maybank to help make owning a home possible for locals. “This campaign will encourage Cambodians to save more in the bank and stand a chance to be a grand winner of a beautiful home at The Garden Residency worth approximately $42,000.”

JS Land’s Dato’ Jack Yap said The Garden Residency is one of the most affordable boutique developments in the city

“Despite many other affordable projects being developed, The Garden Residency is still the best and most reasonably priced development aimed at helping locals own a house in Phnom Penh. JS Land has put a lot of effort to ensure the pricing is affordable, especially for the up-and-coming younger generation who would like to own a home,” he said

Cynthia concluded the event by saying that “the basic premise is that customers of Maybank will now enjoy better returns when they save and conduct their day-to-day transactions with us.”

“We will continue to roll out more initiatives as we intend to build our consumer banking business locally and regionally,” she said.
