New Business Re-registration Deadline On The Table

The government is considering a new extension of the deadline to re-register businesses online, after more than half of the 42,000 companies registered with the Ministry of Commerce failed to re-register online by the last deadline—last Friday, September 30.
The next extension might go through the end of this year, said Seung Sophari, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Commerce. “This time, punishments will be imposed,” she said. “We want all companies to be re-registered.” The deadline for online business re-registry has already been delayed twice since the portal’s launch in December last year.
