New Online System To Manage Foreign Workers, Prakas No. 352 KB/BrK

 The Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training (MLVT) will launch a new online system to manage foreign workers in the upcoming days, as set out in Prakas No. 352 KB/BrK. 

The new system, known as “Foreign Workers Centralized Management System”, will go live 1 September, and will be accessible through this website link www.fwcms.mlvt.gov.kh As per Prakas No. 352 KB/BrK, investors, companies, enterprises, establishments, and factories which employ foreign workers must complete a foreign workers quota application through the new online system from 1 September and onwards. Likewise, foreigners that enter Cambodia to work have to complete an application for work permit and employment card through the online system from 1 September and onwards. 

Quota requests for employment of foreign worker for 2017 should be submitted to the MLVT no later than 30 November, 2016, and work permit and employment card applications by 31 March, 2017. Failure to apply for foreign worker quotas and to renew work permits/employment cards within the deadlines established by the MLVT will result in fines as per Joint Prakas No. 659 on Monetary Fines for those Who Violate the Labor Law, dated 6 June, 2016.
