Shrewsbury International School Set for Q4 2022 Launch in Phnom Penh

Shrewsbury International School is set to join the growing number of international schools in the Cambodian capital when it launches in Q4 2022. Shrewsbury International School Phnom Penh The early years' school at Shrewsbury International School Phnom Penh will open first, followed by primary and secondary education on a purpose-built campus which provides both boarding and day provisions. Shrewsbury School will be based at Flatiron by Meridian in the Phnom Penh City Centre. In addition to offering academic education, its co-curricular activities include sports, drama, music and living facilities. There are a number of well-established international schools following various curriculums in Cambodia. These include ISPP, AISPP, Northbridge, Lycée Français René Descartes, Canadian International School and the most recent addition was the Invictus International School. In 2020 and 2021, the International Schools Database research indicated that Phnom Penh has the cheapest Asian international school fees. The Database suggests there are more than 50 international schools in the capital alone and has compiled its own list of the best schools in Phnom Penh.

On their website, Shrewsbury School says "it has signed agreements with Tutor Impact to establish a state-of-the-art premium international school in Phnom Penh, working closely with Meridian International." Founded in 1552 by King Edward VI, Shrewsbury School is known for its model of education called Floreat. The Phnom Penh school will be established as a co-educational international boarding school for girls and boys between the ages of 2 and 18 - the school also has a presence with partner schools in Bangkok and Hong Kong.
