Hotels in Cambodia

In 2021, a number of hotel groups announced plans to launch new hotels in Cambodia, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.

The Phnom Penh Hotel Market Update 2020 reported there were 313 hotels with 19,337 keys and 523 guests houses in Phnom Penh in 2020. At the time, 15 new hotels were in the pipeline offering 7,849 keys.

In mid-November 2021, Cambodia was the first nation in Southeast Asia to fully open to vaccinated travellers with no or limited restrictions. Cambodia has also seen an increasing number of travel routes open up which should be seen as a boon for tourism and investment opportunities in the Kingdom.
